Turn the dial to your patient's age on one side and the following information appears in the window: average weight, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, suggested sizes for ET tubes and laryngoscope blades, as well as the average length of a properly inserted ET tube at the teeth or gum line. Age categories range from premie to 16 years-old.

Flip the Pedi-Wheel® over and turn the dial to the patient's weight between 2 and 75 kilograms. Pre-calculated dosages for the most common emergency medications immediately appear. The
Pedi-Wheel® contains information on 14 emergency meds, fluid resuscitation, defibrillation and cardioversion and conforms to Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support guidelines. It even has a special pediatric burn table to help you accurately calculate percentage of body surface burned.

Additional medications referenced are: albuterol, calcium chloride, dextrose 25%, diphenhydramine, epinephrine dosages for bradycardia, furosemide, morphine, and sodium bicarbonate.
